Sansevieria, also known as snake plant and mother-in-law’s tongue is truly a beautiful plant. The leaves are dramatically colored and patterned. My father-in-law handed down his unruly specimen to me and I divided it into a couple of smaller pots. It’s been a joy to grow and even more of a joy to paint, which I’ve done numerous times over the years. This painting captures the dramatic beauty and the personality of this sometimes overlooked plant. It’s a joy to share it with you.
