Pink and Yellow Peonies Fine Art Print

Pink and Yellow Peonies Fine Art Print

from 16.00

This archival art print of a stem of pink and yellow peony flowers is a giclee reproduction of my original watercolor painting.

Peonies. They're dramatic. Romantic. Beautiful. They make us all a little crazy, no? What was it that Emily Dickinson said about madness in the spring? I wouldn't be surprised if she was talking about peonies.

This print depicts a stem of peonies with two open flowers and two buds in various stages of development. The open flowers' outer petals are pink, but the interior is made up of frilly petals in a creamy yellow. At the very center, tightly furled, are frills of dark wine. Dramatic and delicate all at once.

Do you love peonies, too? If so, this print, framed and hung in your home, will add a bit of drama, romance and beauty. And remind you that a little madness, once in a while, is good for us all.

The prints measure 4 inches by 6 inches, 5 inches by 7 inches (not pictured) or 8 inches by 10 inches.

I sign the front of each print with my initials (just as I do my paintings).

I take great care with the whole print-making process, from scanning the image to resizing it to checking the colors and printing test prints, it's a long process that yields a beautiful result. The velvet fine art paper is textured and matte made from 100% cotton fibers. The texture is somewhere between that of cold pressed and hot pressed watercolor paper, a little less tooth than the former and a little more tooth than the latter. It reproduces my paintings beautifully.

Every order is lovingly gift wrapped with a handwritten note. You can see examples in the last photo.

Note: Image copyright and reproduction rights are not included with the print.

Print is unframed and not matted.
