Heirloom Tomatoes Watercolor Painting

Heirloom Tomatoes Watercolor Painting

When you were a child did you dig in the dirt, create crowns from dandelion flowers and eat tomatoes straight from the plants, still warm from the sun? Magic.

Even as an adult there are few things more magical, more delightful than garden tomatoes still warm from the sun. I wait all year long for a taste of that first ripe tomato.

This painting captures the profusion of the summer garden, the colors and shapes of a collection of heirloom tomatoes.

This painting would be perfect framed and hung in your kitchen or dining room (or wherever you prefer) adding a playful reminder of childhood summers spent digging in the dirt and of the magic of the year's first ripe tomato, eaten warm from the vine.
