Orange Coneflower Watercolor

Orange Coneflower Watercolor

80.00

Echinacea or purple coneflower is one of those flowers that is the epitome of summer. The pollen-filled center "cone" is surrounded by a flutter of pink petals and is irresistible to butterflies and bees. The plant is a rough and hardy native prairie plant and yet is elegant, too.

This painting depicts a single flower on a stem with two leaves. The petals are orange and the cone is round and fat. The long, narrow paper shape is distinctive, drawing attention to and emphasizing the subject.

Framed and hung in your home it will remind you of joyful summer days, of buzzing bees and sunshine.
